why wont epe release them. i was thinking they could make a 2/3 disc set & put it in a type of box like the aloha or 68 special deluxe sets(the reason i said put it like the aloha/68 special is because when it first came out i went to town with my mate & he said when he picked up the aloha show, i bet hes fat it this one, just because that is the only images he has seen of EP, so people that arnt an elvis fan wouldnt buy this stuff so they wont know what he looks like in it) with no pic on the front just i siloehet(spelt wrong) & put everything that were recorded in 77 with elvis.
also if elvis had lived, when was they going to show it.
what do you think

i too am a hard core fan, but to release this to the public would not be in Elvis or EPE best interest. but maybe release it as a FTD. just so to be sure only the 'hard core' fans get it.....just my thoughts,,,, TCB~ Kirk

Nice site here, I was referred by an old friend Oven, from Norway. He has site " Elvis in Norway. Anyways, I have a first generation of the Official CBS tapes from 1977, which includes 3 full concerts, in there entirety, over 70 minutes back stage footage an more.

The CBS "Elvis in Concert" part of the CBS tapes is in great condition. The other 3 concerts an back stage footage is in somewhat lesser quality . It would be easy to transfer to DVD' as there is NO copy protection, and use filters to clean it up to almost perfect quality. This will most likely never be put on dvd by EPE, Priscilla has said as well as numerous EPE staff. There reasoning is dumb, as they say it would hurt/tarnish Elvis's image as he was indeed way over weight an clearly on drugs.

I am thinking about selling this, anyone have any ideas where to go? I do not know much about EBAY. I was hoping to find an avid collector. I paid a hefty price for this 6 years ago. Again, this is a first generation copy of the master tapes. There is floating around in elvis collector places/sites, but those are most likley 2nd, or 3rd generation tape tarnsfers.

Again, great site here Christian!..any one have expert advice let me know please. Also I have rare White vinyl 45, that only 100 of them was pressed in 1976, it was for a radio concert promotion. So, that is why EPE will never release this, maybe someday.If they do you can bet it will be on "follow that dream"label, meaning for collectors only" you sure wont see it advertised on tv for sale at walmart or something. Sad, isnt it? I am true collector an own like 322 bootlegs, an over 400 Elvis cd's..be nice if the would release this, but very unlikely.

Was there 3 shows filmed for the cbs shows?????? i havew heard from the owner of the tapes that there is a footage of elvis using cocaine in front of the camara

EPE isn't releasing the CBC footage because they don't think it would sell enough to make the costs back

and they don't want to subject Elvis to more ridicule

he wasn't at his best

although, having seen the concerts, they aren't as bad as they are made out to be.
