Elvis' 1972 movie "On Tour" will be released on DVD in Germany March 10, 2006. This edition has a running time of 90 minutes, screensize 4:3, PAL, Dolby HiFi in English (mono) and German (mono). This first release of this movie on DVD is now vailable for pre-order from Amazon Germany.

Bei allen weiteren zur Veröffentlichung geplanten Titeln prüfen wir zur Zeit, ob wir die Filme in besserer Qualität auf DVD veröffentlichen können.

Auf Wunsch können wir Ihnen in den nächsten Wochen gerne eine Liste der Titel, die 2006 weiterhin zur Veröffentlichung vorgesehen sind, mit genauen technischen Angaben zukommen lassen. Mit dieser Maßnahme möchten wir vermeiden, dass Sie zukünftig einen Titel erwerben, der nicht Ihren Ansprüchen genügt.

Bitte beachten Sie in diesem Zusammenhang auch die technischen Informationen auf der DVD-Verpackung.

"Dear Mr. Mussio, thank you for your letter. We took their criticism very seriously. With all further titles planned for publication we examine at present whether we can publish the films in better quality on DVD. When desired we can you in the next weeks gladly give a list of the titles, which are intended for publication 2006 further, with exact technical data. With this measure we would like to avoid that you acquire in the future a title, which is not sufficient for your requirements. Please you consider the technical information on the DVD packing in this connection also. Yours sincerely, Its Warner Home video team"

Elvis Presley Enterprises does not own the film Elvis On Tour and has not played any role in the German DVD release. We do not know why Warner Brothers' German branch chose to release the exisiting version of Elvis On Tour rather than wait until the new edition Warner Brothers in America is planning becomes available. Whenever Warner Brothers has information to share about the content of the new DVD and its release date, information will be posted in News on our site, our FAQ item about the concert films will be updated and we will include the information in our e-newsletter mailings.
